My Experience

With over a decade of experience designing engaging learning experiences, I began by creating interactive PowerPoint presentations for college assignments, staff trainings at a growing in-home child care center, and even family game nights. Since then, I’ve expanded my toolkit to include Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, and PowerPoint, developing a wide range of adult learning solutions—from church-based trainings to quick job aids for teaching staff. I specialize in using the ADDIE and SAM models to guide my instructional design process, ensuring that each learning experience is learner-centered, goal-oriented, and adaptable. I incorporate gamification elements such as Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and trivia to foster engagement and connection, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. My approach emphasizes creating risk-free e-learning environments where learners can explore, make mistakes, and grow through scaffolded, interactive experiences. One of my favorite projects was a babysitting course that allowed learners to test different solutions in realistic scenarios, reinforcing learning through exploration and reflection. Passionate about meeting learners where they are and guiding them toward their goals, I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology, which I plan to complete by December 2025.
